-----
One of the
artists in my mentor program, Mary Woodul, has invited
us to to her new ranch for a week of painting. You fly
into San Luis Potosi via direct flight from Houston or
Dallas
I will guide through techniques and what to look for the
morning sessions. In the afternoon I will go out
painting for myself and anyone is welcome to join me or
do their own thing. We will be going into the heart of
Mexico!
To read more
about our wonderful host please visit Mary's art blog
here.
Program:
6 Mornings,
9:30-12:30 Plein Air painting with instruction.
5 Afternoons
I will go out painting for myself, and all of you are
welcome to join me and watch or paint yourselves.
2 painting
excursions, a day each: one to
San Miguel, the famous Artists' town. And to
Mineral de Pozos, a village with thriving artists'
colony. We will paint somewhere on the way, lunch there,
paint or shop, and dinner there.
-----
Price: $1,130 usd
What else is included:
6 Nights
accommodation in Mary's new Ranch, about 35 minutes from
San Luis Potosi. The Ranch has 5 guest bedrooms, and 3
full bathrooms to share.
1 Night
accommodation will be in the charming center of San
Luis--afternoon before the next day's
morning departure.
All
breakfasts, traditional American or Mexican (!), and
about half our other meals will be at the Ranch.
We will have
2 cars for transportation. That will give freedom to
those who want to sightsee or shop instead of paint in
the afternoons.
Price:
$1,130 usd, double occupancy. Limited to 10 people.
$500 deposit due upon acceptance, balance due by July
5th. If you have to cancel you will get a full
refund if your spot is filled. If the workshop is
canceled you will receive a full refund. But workshop is
on, I can only see it being canceled if there was
a medical emergency. I will be there rain or shine. :)
6
people confirmed, 4 spots
remaining.
