Pastel Materials List

Soft pastels such as Rembrandt. Variety of warm and cool colors.

Dark paper like Cansons in dark blue, brown, or black; approx. 18 x 25 inches

A French or plein air easel; or a stool, but you need something to prop your drawing board. We have extra folding chairs that can work.

A drawing board or a cardboard portfolio (which also holds the paper.)

A charcoal or pastel fixative, Sennelier is the best.

Glassine paper to protect the pastel drawing.

Working with you was a revelation!  You have quite a knack for channeling your gifts into fruitful instruction (which is itself another gift).  Looking back at how you deliberately broke down the challenges of rendering light, I appreciate all the more the thought that went into your structured lessons.
