San Luis Potosi, Again!
Plein Air Painting
Five-Day Workshop in San Luis, Mexico
with Michael Newberry
Wednesday
July 14 - Tuesday 20, 2010
9 am - 4 pm

Newberry, Tres
Senores, 2008, oil on panel, 12 x 9 inches (demo)
The experience
I had at Michael Newberry's Plein Air Painting
workshop in San Luis Potosi, Mexico was phenomenal
. The accommodations were beautiful, each day was
filled with delicious food, gorgeous views, and
excellent instruction. By the end of the week, all
of the participants knew each other well and were
sad to say good-bye. I returned home with a
collection of Mexican landscape paintings that I was
able to share and be proud of. This was the perfect
balance of work and fun. Now when I gaze at a
landscape, I think about painting it! I fell in
love with San Luis Potosi and hope to return
someday. Michael Newberry taught me to see the
outdoors as an artist.

juice and a real breakfast and start painting by 9 am at
an outdoor location on the estate. Its a high desert

have drinks, dinner.
