This week we will focus on creating the rib cage and hips - the first building blocks for a successful figure.

Michael Newberry, demo of the ribcage/egg shape with axis line (the tilt of the rib cage, and top being the nape of back of the neck. Notice the sternum is not on the same axis. You can estimate where to place the sternum by judging whether the model is facing you straight on, profile, or somewhere in-between.
